Our Cantor

Cantor Rachel Harris has served Temple Beth Torah as our congregation’s Cantor since 2021.

She received Cantorial Ordination and a Master’s Degree in Jewish Education from Hebrew College in 2020. During her years as a student, she served as a student cantor in congregational and residential care settings around Boston.

Cantor Rachel earned a bachelor’s degree in music from the Boston Conservatory where she studied vocal performance, premiered the works of emerging composers, and performed in numerous ensembles and opera productions.

At Temple Beth Torah, Cantor Rachel partners with Rabbi Andy Rosenkranz to create meaningful and spirited worship services throughout the year. She enriches lifelong learning through Shabbat morning Torah study and Adult B’not Mitzvah classes, while also guiding B-Mitzvah students and their families with care and connection. She creates opportunities for music in our community with adult choir, musical worship experiences, and vibrant music programs for children and teens in our Hebrew school and preschool.

Originally from Houston, TX, Cantor Rachel now lives in Lake Worth Beach with her husband, Cantor Jake Harris.
